Beach council to renew city manager's contract (The Virginian-Pilot)

VIRGINIA BEACH The City Council will vote today to renew City Manager Jim Spore’s contract for two more years. Spore has been Virginia Beach’s lead administrator since 1991. Under the proposed terms of the new contract, Spore’s salary, car allowance and health insurance would remain the same. Spore is currently paid $219,715.07. The contract would expire on Nov. 30, 2011....
